Suman Ghosh directed ‘Kadambari’ saw
Parambrata Chattopadhyay playing a young Rabindranath Thakur and it surprised everyone. Now, after all these years he will once again be seen as Rabindranath in
Sayantan Ghosal’s upcoming thriller ‘Aaji Hote Shotobarsho Pore’. The versatile actor will be seen as the literary icon in different timeframes.
“The story of this film revolves around a murder mystery.
Interestingly the case is linked to Rabindranath, more specifically to a chapter in his life when he was in London. Somehow, that time frame has a connection to this mystery. The story will move on in two time frames,” reveals Sayantan who had worked with Parambrata in ‘Sagardwiper Jawker Dhan’.
Apart from Parambrata, the thriller will also have Gaurav Chakrabarty and Tnusree Chakraborty in the lead. While Gaurav plays a key role in the story, Tnusree will take on the role of a journalist. Father-son duo
Riddhi Sen and
Kaushik Sen are also part of the cast which is yet to be completed.
The shooting was supposed to start in 2021 but it got delayed due to the COVID situation and if all goes according to plan it will start early next year.
Incidentally, Sayantan’s next film ‘Swastik Sanket’ which is releasing on January 21 has also been shot in London amid the pandemic. The Nusrat Jahan-Gaurav Chakrabarty starrer thriller has been in the news ever since it was announced as it will feature
Saswata Chatterjee as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. ‘Aaji Hote Shotobarsho Pore’ needs a lot of research, so Sayantan is taking extra precautions to check every minute detail.
