Paoli in Srijit Mukherji's next Kakababu project

Paoli backed out of Srijit Mukherji's Rajkahini because she didn't want to be part of a gang of 11 women. But the director has finally offered her a role she couldn't refuse. The dusky beauty has been cast in an important role in his next Kakababu project.

Srijit, who is currently on a recce for the film near the Swiss Alps, said, ���Paoli has an interesting role in the movie.

She has done diverse films and is one of our most intelligent actresses." The movie will be a screen adaptation of Sunil Ganguly's Pahar Churaye Atonko.

About not doing Rajkahini, Paoli had earlier told us, ���With him (Srijit) I want to do something special. The role I was offered was not the protagonist's. Srijit is a very good director but more than that, we are also friends. We mutually decided not to work in Rajkahini. When I am working with Srijit, I want something far more special."
Though the actress remained unavailable for comment, sources said her character has grey shades and Paoli will be seen doing hardcore action in the movie. This is also Paoli's second venture with Prosenjit Chatterjee in a row. She is part of Kamaleswar Mukherjee's film that has the veteran actor in the lead. Produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, Kakababu, where Prosenjit plays the swashbuckling adventurer on crutches, will go on the floors in May .
