The Puja countdown is on and how! Like every other Kolkatan, waiting with bated breath is Tollywood hottie Paoli.
Taking a break from her rigorous shooting schedule, she is ready to set sail. And she knows it���s a fun journey ahead. ���I���m waiting for the day when Ma Durga will come down to Earth. For me, it���s the celebration of Stree Shakti and trust me, I can feel the power within.Durga Puja has always been very special to me as it brings me close to my roots. Though I live in Mumbai because of my professional commitments, I never give Pujas a miss. And yes, Puja shopping is also something I look forward to every year, as the smell of new clothes evokes a great sense of joy,��� she said.
From curtains to nail polish, Paoli prefers every thing new during the festive season. ���Ma takes care of my Puja shopping and I still feel like a child. I eagerly wait to see what saris and kurtas she has bought for me. There are times when I am away for work in Mumbai and she is here at a shop with at least hundred saris spread before her and over the phone we decide on which sari to buy,��� she added.
This year, Paoli has shifted to her new house and topping her Puja shopping list are more household stuff than clothes. She has already bought a lamp shade, upholstery, gadgets and there���s still a long way to go. ���I have my eyes on two of Ma���s new saris and she knows about it,��� she quipped.
Not many know that Paoli is a kitchen queen and can spend hours reading a cook book. ���I love to cook and experiment with spices. Usually, I don���t go out pandal-hopping before midnight, so on one of the Puja days, I stir up dishes and call my friends over for an addaover dinner,��� said the actress. Here���s to the desi mistress of spices!

Her anjaliwear? A traditional sari made out of tant. ���Dida gifted this red-and-white sari to Ma and I immediately grabbed it. Isn���t it beautiful and smart?��� asked Paoli. We couldn���t agree more!

���I have shifted to Mumbai and am learning to manage without my team. So, I invested in this makeup box and take pride in the luxury beauty items. This is my puja gift to myself,��� smiled the pretty girl.

This Puja, Paoli is All set to surprise her parents with her culinary expertise.

This jute silk with block prints is Paoli���s fave. ���I���m going to team it up with a body suit to make it look different. This is my Saptami saaj, as I meet up with my school friends for dinner on that day,��� she informed

���Let there be light,��� said Paoli, showing off her latest buy ��� a black-and-white lamp shade from Mumbai. ���When I saw it, I knew it was perfect for my living room, which shares the same colour combo,��� smiled the actress, keen on buying more knick-knacks.
