says Bappi Lahiri’s music became the reason for so many people to smile and dance and today we lost another gem from the music industry. The ‘Natoker Moto’ actor took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “And every time a Bappi Lahiri song plays, the world will dance. You will always be gold. Rest in peace. #BappiLahiri”
She also shared a black and white throwback picture of the iconic singer-composer. Paoli also thanks the music maestro for all the happiness he brought through his music.
Bappi Lahiri, regarded as the pioneer of disco music in Indian cinema in the 80s and 90s, passed away following multiple health issues on Tuesday night at a hospital in
Juhu
, Mumbai. The 69-year-old had been admitted to the hospital for almost a month and was discharged on Monday. However, his health deteriorated on Tuesday night and he was rushed to the hospital. He died because of OSA (
obstructive sleep apnea
) shortly before midnight.
