CT spoke to actor Paoli, who has topped the list. Excerpts:
How does it feel to be voted Most Desirable Woman of 2014?
What a news to start the Bengali New Year with! I feel like screaming my lungs out and maybe that's what I should be doing...
What according to you makes a woman desirable?
Thankfully, we now live in a day and age when fair skin and doe eyes are not the only parameters for being considered desirable; I am neither.Whatever I do, I do it from my heart.And that's what makes me desirable.Also, I am friendly with most people.

How many times a day do you look into the mirror?
I love the mirror. It started off as a habit to check my expressions before giving a shot. Now I don't even mind pouting for selfies! Also, I believe you can't love others if you don't love yourself.
Who according to you is the most desirable man?
I love my father and feel that my man has to be a father figure to me. Well, that's how he is.
What attracts you most in a man?
Apart from intellect, a good sense of humour. A strong academic background is an add-on.

Well, yes. That's no news!
Who according to you is more desirable than you?
Angelina Jolie. She's not just a fantastic actress, but also a social activist. Since I love sports, I'm also extremely fond of Saina Nehwal. Also, there are many beautiful actresses in Bengal.
What do you think is that X factor in you that men go weak in the knees?
I smile even in the face of all odds.
What milestones have you set for yourself?
I love cinema and always do varied roles. There are many good films in my kitty at the moment.That's what I see myself doing for ever and ever. Appreciation is what keeps me going.
