Kintu Galpo Noy
’ is largely based on a real-life incident.
Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Badshah Moitra, Paran Bandopadhyay and
Debshankar Halder
will be seen in key roles. Ashoke Mukherjee, Priyam, Sayantani and
Papia Adhikari
also play pivotal roles.
The plot of ‘Kintu Galpo Noy’ follows Sikha Byapari, a meritorious college student from a suburb of Kolkata, who falls seriously ill and had to be admitted to a private hospital. But she got fleeced by the hospital authority before being shifted to the Student’s Health Home. Eventually, she recovers and goes back to her normal life but after a few days once again falls ill and admitted to Student’s Health Home. This time she meets Deep, a talented boy who was injured by a bomb blast. Being a victim, the teenage boy remains depressed. However, Sikha decides to help Deep. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
The story and script have been penned by director Pabitra Goswami himself. Rupankar, Upal, Disha and Dr
Hiranmoy Ghosal
have lent their voices to the songs in this film. It will release on June 1.
