’ is a crime thriller starring
Paayel Sarkar, Mainak Banerjee,
Shaheb Bhattacharjee
,
Sudip Mukherjee and Ranojoy in pivotal roles. The story revolves around an elite team from
Intelligence Bureau who are tasked to locate and destroy a criminal gang who are carrying out dangerous operations in and around Kolkata and along the border area.
Recently, singers Arkadeep Mishra and
Snigdhajit Bhoumik
recorded a song for the upcoming thriller at a city studio. Bappaditya Subhro is scoring the music of ‘Shimanto’.
Shaheb who has a guest appearance in the film says the story is about the IB team’s undercover operation to wipe out a criminal mastermind. Ranojoy who is excited to be a part of the film says he plays one of the members of the investigating team. Without divulging much about the story Ranojoy assures the director has done a lot of research work on the story.
Suman made his directorial debut with ‘
Doshhomi’ starring
Koel Mallick,
Indraneil Sengupta,
Locket Chatterjee and Piyush Ganguly in the lead. Then he made ‘71 Broken lines’ (Ekattor) based on a more serious subject – the Bangladesh liberation war and a rom-com titled ‘
Ichche Udan
’.
