Onir: On a Hattrick

Onir is on a hattrick! Having signed on Anurag Kashyap and Nandita Das for his I Am films, he has now convinced Anurag Basu to act too.
Basu, who is gearing up for the release of Kites, is all set to come down to Kolkata to shoot for the film.
Says Onir, who was recently in Kolkata, ���������I accidentally bumped into him at a coffee shop in Mumbai. Anurag wanted to be treated to a cup of coffee.While we were taking a sip, it struck me that I could cast him as a Bengali doctor in I Am Afia. I spontaneously told him that the coffee was his signing amount.���������
Initially, Basu had laughed at the idea and had thought that Onir was pulling a fast one on him. ���������When I told him that I was serious and that director Anurag Kashyap had acted in I Am Abhimanyu, he agreed. The dates have also worked out,��������� Onir adds.
Shooting with Anurag in Kolkata will be held in March. ���������We want to shoot in a real location and are in the process of finalising the clinic. With Anurag in the cast, I am very happy to see how my colleagues are coming forward to help me.���������
As for Anurag, the director-actor says, ���������Yes, I am doing Onir���������s film. I will be shooting in Kolkata from March 1 to 3.���������
