Actors Om and
Mimi Dutta are tying the knot on February 3. Speaking about the big day, Om told us, “Both the wedding and the reception are on February 3. We were planning to go to Europe for our honeymoon but given this current situation, we are no longer sure about the destination. Many have been asking me why we are getting married at such a time. My answer is, there is no guarantee things will improve at the end of this year too, so why delay?”
When asked how they had met, he said they first met on the sets of Alor Basa, in which they played the lead pair.
“We started liking each other but didn’t express our feelings back then. But we knew there was a spark. After the shoot, we slowly lost touch and only used to text each other on birthdays or any festival. We reconnected at the end of 2017 and started meeting. After a few meetings, we knew that the friendship was taking a different course. Finally, we decided to get married,” said Om with a smile.
So, who is more romantic between the two? “Mimi is extremely romantic. She loves long drives in the rain and all. But I am more practical by nature,” he said.
Om, who recently completed shooting for
Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s film, Lockdown, said, “It’s a multi-starrer and also features Soham, Srabanti, Manali and others. The film is about the pandemic and the lockdown.”
