Nicollete looks like an angel :Siddharth

The object of the game is to be hit. Will Siddharth in Striker pocket a win with a flick?

Whats your criterion for doing a Hindi film post-RDB?
Down South, Ive a track record of nine films with just one flop. My films have done Rs 150 crore in the Andhra box-office. If my second Hindi film selection isnt right, Id be termed a one-film wonder in Bollywood. I wanted to prove myself as a solo star and was looking for a film that would have an impact in the current environment and a role that would expose my range as an actor.
1x1 polls
Striker has all that. My performance has to serve as an appetizer to make the
audience crave for the main course. Strikers director Chandan Arora is my film soulmate. I can see myself wanting to make a film with him every year.
Are you saying this because you are promoting Striker?
No. Ive already promoted nine films and havent said this about any other director.
Since your hopes are pinned on Striker a film about a carrom player have you calculated your worst case scenario?
The worst-case scenario is people watching the film and believing that I am an actor with potential.
Are you an equally calculative person in real life?

No. The way I am in real life is very different from the way I am when I am making my career moves.
So, is there a Sid A and a Sid B?
Yes, there is. Im meticulous while selecting my movies. But in real life, I am a very take-it-easy kinda guy. I live on a single step basis and dont take myself seriously.
Are you basically an introvert or is being a recluse a part of your branding as an actor?
Im here to make films. Basically, Im a very private person. The day I get married, I am not going to lie about it. But right now, I have nothing of that importance to share. Being in the movies, I understand that I have to live under media glare. Besides, the Indian media is very creative. At least 99 per cent of the stuff thats circulated about my private life is false. Even the remaining one per cent is so creatively written that I wish it was true. Yet, my policy is neither to endorse nor to debunk the gossip about me.
Youve sung for Striker as well as for another Telugu movie. With more and more actors/composers giving playback hits, do regular playback singers have reasons to feel insecure?
No matter how many songs I sing, I dont think Sonu Niigaam has any reasons to feel insecure.
Do you plan to shift base to Mumbai?
Yes, I have been looking for a house. While Ive been living out of a suitcase, now I feel its important for me to buy a house in Mumbai. I need a Mumbai address to my name.
Your Strike co-star Nicollete Bird is a Kolkata girl...
Nicollete looks like an angel in the film. Shed talk about Kolkata and Id often share my experiences of shooting in Howrah. Id want to do a Bengali film someday. Im good with languages. If the script is good enough, Id need 12 days to learn any language and do a movie.
