Biswanath Basu was excited to be present at a dance programme where his son performed on Saturday evening. “My son had a programme at his dance school where he performed and I am very happy to see him performing confidently,” said the actor. He added, “On Monday, my wife will be leaving for Delhi for an art exhibition and I will be at home with my two sons. So, it will be party time for us.”
Biswanath is busy rehearsing for a play titled Chilekotha, directed by Moumita. “The play is about those children who lock their old parents at home and go on a vacation. The story is very sensitive and I had tears in my eyes when I heard the script. In real life, I am the complete opposite of the son I am playing in this drama. I am just too attached to my mother. There is a thief’s character in this play that is also essayed by me,” said the actor.
The actor will soon be seen playing the antagonist’s role in Aloukik Na Loukik. “I play an important character in this serial. I love to play negative roles as they push me as an actor. I loved the storyline as it an endeavour to expose those ill-doers who take advantage of vulnerable minds in the name of faith and superstition,” informed Biswanath, who will also start shooting for Avijatrik — The

Durga Puja. “From Shasthi to Dashami, I am always in my ancestral home in Basirhat to be a part of the barir puja. It is a different feeling altogether. Our relatives from all over the country come to our house during that time,” said the actor.
