‘Naqaab’: The horror-thriller gets a release date

Starring Shakib Khan, Nusrat Jahan and Sayantika Banerjee in the lead, ‘Naqaab’ is a thriller directed by Rajib Biswas. What’s makes this film interesting is the horror element embedded in its storyline. Also, Shakib Khan’s double role intensifies the curiosity. So far the official trailer and a series of intriguing posters created a lot of buzz. Now, the makers have announced the release date of ‘Naqaab’ and its September 21.

This is the first time Bangladeshi actor Shakib Khan is appearing in a film under the banner of SVF. In the film, Shakib’s character can see and talk to spirits. His life takes a swift turn when he encounters a spirit who looks just like him and he gets involved in a murder case eventually becoming a prime suspect. Will Shakib be able to prove his innocence? That’s what forms the crux of the mystery.
Although, it’s not a horror movie, the film is filled with twists, climaxes and even romance. Apart from Shakib, Nusrat and Sayantike, Sudip Mukherjee and Rudranil Ghosh will be seen in pivotal roles.
