My motto in life is to keep entertaining people: Rajeshwar

For Rajeshwar, acting has always been his first love and music is his passion. Born and brought up in Delhi,

Rajeshwar

learnt to play the tabla when he was very young. Besides, he is also a trained Rabindrasangeet singer.
Rajeshwar started his acting career with a

Bengali daily soap

, Aanchol, in 2012. Thereafter, he has acted in around seven

short films

, including Lovey Dovey, Teri Meri Christmas, Binodini, Rehab and I’m Home.

At present, Rajeshwar is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film, Tasher Ghor. Directed by

Bidula Bhattacharjee

, it is a bilingual anthology of four romantic stories. Talking about his character in the film, Rajeshwar said, “I play Rohit, who is an author. The film sees me narrating four stories to my best friend, played by actress Ankitaa Chakraborty. We completed the shoot only after the lockdown relaxed a bit. It was quite challenging to shoot in the new normal but we followed all the safety protocols. I play different roles in four different stories. And for every character, I had to change my acting style. I also worked hard on my Bengali diction and the entire cast and crew were very supportive and encouraging. I hope to continue doing meaningful projects that’ll help me hone my acting skills.”

Rajeshwar also loves to mimic his favourite actors. “Yes, I love to imitate my favourite actors but haven’t thought of taking up mimicry professionally. My motto in life is to keep entertaining people through performing arts,” added Rajeshwar, who has also done a lot of modelling assignments and sung covers of

Hemanta Mukhopadhyay

and

Salil Chowdhury

’s popular Bollywood numbers, which he released online. His debut stint in

Hollywood

was in the movie Baby-Sellers, which revolved around child trafficking. It was telecast in the US in 2013.
