I am a small-town girl, who came to Kolkata to pursue her primary passion - acting. The stretch of the

Vidyasagar Setu

, colonial architectures on

Esplanade

and the hustle and bustle of the city used to overwhelm me initially. However, within months, I realised that I was in love with Kolkata and my passion for acting got channelised into various other things that the city threw at me. Sampling local food items was one of them. I have friends who are kind of obsessed with sweets from

north Kolkata

. I, too, became a fan. Soon, I realised that sipping on bhnarer cha and chatting were as important in Kolkata as it was in my hometown. My friends and I enjoy spending hours at different roadside tea stalls discussing work and life.
Because of my passion for acting, I started visiting

Academy of Fine Arts

regularly. I watched some amazing theatre productions there. I learnt a lot from those visits.
Last but not the least, I met a motley group of people with whom I fell passionately in love with. They are my friends, neighbours, mentors, colleagues and a few others, who never let me give up on my dreams. They support me unconditionally and that made me who I am today. These friends, along with the indomitable spirit of the city, taught me to always move ahead in life.
