The director has had no time to celebrate New Year's Eve in the past 4 years. For the past four years on New Years Eve,
Shiboprosad Mukherjee has been doing what he does best shooting. And the director isnt complaining. Says he, Ending the year in the middle of work leaves me satisfied. It means, it has been a fruitful year for me.
The director realized only recently that since the past four years, he has not had taken an off on December 31 or January 1.
In 2010, we were working on
Accident. In 2011, it was
Muktodhara.
Alik Sukhkept us busy in 2012 and this year, its
Ramdhanu."
So, why is it that he always zeroes in on December to start his shoots, we ask. December is the best month to work. The weathers pleasant, making it comfortable to work long hours. In December, even if we work 12 hours a day, it doesnt get as hectic."
Shiboprosad, who ended 2013 shooting the climax of
Ramdhanu, said that it was the most satisfactory end to the year. I shot with children at a city school. Since
Ramdhanuis all about students, we have to deal with more than 400 kids for this film. And to be surrounded by so many kids on the last day of the year made me feel youthful. It was more fun because with all the kids, even their parents had to act! he laughed.
And whats his plans for the first day of the new year? We will be leaving for Bolpur for the outdoor schedule tomorrow. So today is devoted to getting things in place. Its awesome to note that I ended the last year canning the last scene of my film and I am starting this year ready to dive into work with new enthusiasm. I hope, things continue this way in the new year too." he added.
