Veteran Bengali actor
Mrinal Mukherjee breathed his last on May 7 at a Kolkata private hospital after a prolonged illness.
Known for his stellar acting performances in films like ‘
Byomkesh O Chiriakhana
’ (2016), ‘Ghar Jamai’ (2008), ‘Streer Maryada’ (2002) and many more and appearing in head strong character roles in popular Bengali serials, the octogenarian was suffering from cancer and was lately diagnosed with jaundice and other age related health issues.
