Mousumi Bhattacharya, who is a part of serials like Kesob and Umar Sansar, will start shooting for Niraj Sharma’s yet-untitled short film opposite Rajesh Sharma. “It is a short film on the history of the rosogolla. I play a sex worker while Rajeshda plays my customer. . I am looking forward to sharing the screen with Rajeshda, who I feel is a brilliant actor. I hope to learn a lot from him,” said the actress.
Mousumi, who was also a part of films like Hanuman.com, Rosogolla, Baccha Shoshurand Bhootchokro Pvt Ltd, is now dubbing for Mohua Chakraborty’s film, Amar Bhoy. “The film has five stories which get interlinked at the end.
Rituparna
Sengupta is there in all the five stories. In one of the stories, I play the lead.
Manali
Manisha Dey plays the lead role in another story. The film is a horror story. I loved doing this film as horror is my favourite genre,” said Mousumi, who will start shooting for Rajdeep Ghosh’s next film from January, where Soham plays the male lead. She added, “Dubbing is a crucial part of filmmaking and I still get nervous when I get into the dubbing studio.”
In the mega serial, Kesob, Mousumi plays a negative character while in Umar Sansar she essays a positive role. “I love to play characters that have grey shades as that gives an actor lot of scope to test his or her acting skills. “My character in Umar Sansar has lot of shades and it adds on to the story,” said Mousumi.
