‘Mitin Mashi’ teaser: Meet Koel Mallick in a new avatar

Mitin Mashi is all set for her big screen debut this Puja and it will be interesting to see whether the audience will accept Koel Mallick as a female sleuth. Based on Late novelist Suchitra Bhattacharya’s story ‘Hate Matro Tin Din’, the detective thriller is Arindam Sil’s latest offering.
Apart from Koel, Bollywood actor Vinay Pathak will also make his Bengali with this film. Subhrajit Dutta, June Malya, Riya Banik will also be seen in pivotal characters.
Recently the teaser of ‘Mitin Mashi’ was dropped online. Interestingly you can’t get any idea about the plot from the teaser. It mainly introduces Koel as Mitin Mashi. The teaser focuses on breaking the myth that the word detective is always associated with men as if a woman can’t do the job.
However, Mitin is here to show how a homemaker can solve mysteries also with a sharp mind and terrific observation skills. In the teaser Koel’s look and body language is completely different from most of her mainstream movies.
Beside the theme of women empowerment, another interesting thing in the teaser is the beautiful background score composed by Bickram Ghosh. Bankrolled by Camellia Productions, the detective thriller will release on October 2.
