Mithun Chakraborty turns Mimoh's mentor
The legendary actor will now be holding a rigorous workshop to train his son for his debut Bangla film, Rocky, directed by Sujit Mondal As we all know, Mimoh is set to debut in his first Bangla film Rocky. And this time around, Papa Mithun is leaving no stones unturned to see his son doesnt disappoint his Bengali fans. Guess what? Director Sujit Mondal has arranged an acting workshop especially for Mimoh and training him will be dad Mithun Chakraborty himself. So, for the next few days, the father will take a backseat as Mithun will turn Mimohs guru. Since the Bangla audience would like to see a jhalak of Mithun in Mimoh, I will be holding this acting workshop for him. By now, I know the likes and dislikes of the Bengali audience. I will try teaching him the finer nuances of acting. I keep telling Mimoh that a teacher can only impart knowledge but it is up to the student how much he/she can grasp and implement. I can only guide him, the rest lies upon his shoulders. Mimoh needs to master the Bengali diction. He is a Bengali but not born and brought up in Kolkata. Body language is something which the director will be able to guide him better.
I believe every actor has his own style. I shall not try to force anything on him, said Mithun. Will he be a strict teacher? Not at all! Mimoh is not new to acting. He knows his job, smiled the father.Mimoh too is looking forward to this workshop under his fathers guidance. It is an honour for me. I still remember how Baba gave me tips when I did my first Hindi film. But Bangla film is something I havent done and Baba being a veteran in Tollywood, knows exactly what works for the audience there. From dialogue delivery to body language, punctuation, character orientation, look to diction Baba is going to teach all, smiled Mimoh, who is trying not to get intimidated by his new teacher. The workshop starts in Mumbai next week, at Mithuns residence, where director Sujit Mondal will also be present as and when required. Mithunda is one of the most popular actors here and he knows how to impress the audiences. So, we thought it would be best if Mithunda takes charge. Im sure the audience will love this endeavour, said Shrikant Mohta, one of the producers in the film. This Shree Venkatesh Films venture in collaboration with another production company sees Mimoh as a flamboyant boy, who after meeting the right girl (Puja) gradually turns into a matured man. Hopefully, this training will help Mimoh grow as a performer and Mithun, a proud father.
