So says Sudipta Chakraborty, who plays Saswata Chatterjees wife in Suman Ghoshs Nobel Chor. One could hardly make out that its Mithun Chakraborty from his get-up (he essays a farmers role) when he was shooting for Suman Ghoshs Nobel Chor at a South Kolkata residence on a sultry Friday afternoon.
While the crew was busy changing the sets and the lights for the next shot, Mithun was going through the script. What the Nobel Prize means to all of us, is what Sumans film is all about. To Bhanu, the character I essay, it is just a thing that he wants to sell so that his son can lead a life without the struggle to earn a living. For Bhanu, his ultimate dream is to buy a cycle. If possible, he wants to use the money after selling the Nobel to buy a cycle, Mithun said.
Sudipta Chakraborty, who essays Saswatas wife, is happy to work with Mithun for the second time. We are shooting today where Bhanu comes to Saswatas house with the Nobel. Its fun shooting with Mithunda . He will push me and then say, O tui ekhane chhili? In the recent past, he used to call me Puchki. But, now, he calls me Goluma. The whole unit is also calling me by that name, Sudipta smiled and said.
Saswata Chatterjee, who plays Hari, is working with Mithun for the first time. There is so much to learn from the stalwart. The best part is that Mithunda makes things easy on the sets, said the actor, adding, Haris reaction seeing the Nobel is marvellous. He will say, kodhbel dekhechi, calling bell tipechi, but Nobel...! It was just hilarious.
