and Devlina Kumar and the shooting will start from this month. In the 15-minute film titled Okiagari, Mir will be seen as a junior lawyer, who mostly handles cases related to domestic violence. Devlina Kumar is playing the character of a young mother who becomes the victim of domestic violence. The film is set in the '80s. Even though Samik didn’t disclose the story much, he said that the story is based on the Indian judiciary system, which is inclined towards females in many ways and how the male population suffers for it. Besides, the film is based on Japanese philosophy. “Okiagari-koboshi is a typical Japanese doll similar to the ‘Hit me’ dolls we know. From this, a Japanese philosophy was derived, which says that we have to make right all our wrongs in one lifespan,” he added. The storyline is designed according to the philosophy.

When he heard about the story, Mir said that he was intrigued not just because it was a good story, but also because it was based on a Japanese philosophy. “The sense of suspense and horror in Japanese films are on a different level and that feeling made me say yes to the film,” he added.
