Mimi Chakraborty completes dubbing for her next ‘Taxi Driver’

Mimi Chakraborty has wrapped up the dubbing session for her upcoming romantic thriller ‘

Taxi Driver

’. Recently, she took to her Twitter handle to share a snapshot from the film and wrote: “Yet another beautiful journey ends today as i complete my dubbing see u all during promotions @Yash_Dasgupta @svf #Shaufguptarafiq.”

Mimi and Yash Dasgupta’s next ‘Taxi Driver’ garnered a lot of attention since it was announced. Not just the return of the cute pair of Mimi – Yash but this film marks Shagufta Rafique's directorial debut as well. Bankrolled by SVF, it is expected to release early next year.

As of now, Shagufta Rafique has mostly worked in Bollywood with Vishesh Films headed by Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. Some of her well-accepted works as a script writer and dialogue writer are films like ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Raaz- The Mystery Continues’, ‘Jism 2’, ‘Jannat 2’, ‘Ashique 2’ and ‘Raaz 3’.

Interestingly, initially Shagufta was supposed to direct a horror flick titled ‘Seven’ starring Nusrat Jahan opposite Yash Dasgupta but later the makers decided to make a romantic thriller. While the male lead remained same, Mimi replaced Nusrat to play the female lead.
