Sen received the honour from Her Highness Hemlata Rajye, the Maharani of Jodhpur, in the presence of several prominent figures from the
Indian film industry, especially from Mumbai.
Accepting the award, Sen described the recognition as a collective achievement, thanking his team and collaborators. He emphasized that meaningful cinema is always the result of shared vision, dedication, and trust among artists and technicians and his small contribution towards taking Bengali films out of Bengal.
