Mehrangarh Fort hosts a night of global cinema at Rajasthan Film Festival

At the iconic Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, cinema and heritage blended seamlessly as filmmaker Satrajit Sen won the Best Director Award at the 12th Rajasthan International Film Festival. The evening celebrated global cinema against the dramatic backdrop of the illuminated historic fort.The Best International Film award went to the Polish film Chopin Chopin, highlighting the festival’s diverse international presence.Sen received the honour from Her Highness Hemlata Rajye, the Maharani of Jodhpur, in the presence of several prominent figures from the Indian film industry, especially from Mumbai.Accepting the award, Sen described the recognition as a collective achievement, thanking his team and collaborators. He emphasized that meaningful cinema is always the result of shared vision, dedication, and trust among artists and technicians and his small contribution towards taking Bengali films out of Bengal.
