Majid Majidi will be in Kolkata tomorrow

Iranian auteur Majid Majidi, who's currently in the country for the promotions of his first India based Hindi film- Beyond The Clouds will be arriving in city of joy Kolkata tomorrow. Kolkata, which is also his favorite Indian director Satyajit Ray's birth place, has always been on his list of places to visit in India. While he's visited the city a few years back just for a day, he's delighted to be visiting the city of joy this time around with his first Indian film.Interestingly, Majidi, in one of his previous interviews had stated that it was Satyajit Ray's films that steered his attention towards India and since then, he was inspired to make a film in the country. He said, "I really like Satyajit Ray's films. His film Pather Panchali is one of my favorites and I have seen it almost 50 times and yet every time I watch it, it feels new to me." Beyond The Clouds is set to release in India and worldwide on April 20.
