Ahead of its theatrical release next year it has created the right noise and while good wishes pouring for Indraadip here’s another exciting news. ‘Kedara’ has been selected for an official screening at the

Imagine India International Film Festival Madrid

2019. Surely, Indraadip Dasgupta is on cloud nine right now.

Indraadip works on a remarkably unique subject and narrates his story with surreal execution. A lonely ventriloquist Narasingha (Kaushik Ganguly) lives in a weary house filled with age old mementoes, masks and antiques. The way it’s revealed that he is a ventriloquist is quite commendable. Narasingha not only mimic sounds or voices; those voices establish their own entities for him and they are his only family.

While everyone makes fun of him, Narasingha’s only confidante (played by Rudranil Ghosh) is an antiques seller who sells those things just opposite his house. Much like Narasingha, he, too, somehow finds solace and a perfect home amidst his old collection.

The way Narasingha’s world has been established is something magical. Cinematographer Subhankar Bhar and editor Sujoy Dutta Roy also proves their mettle making ‘Kedara’ an ensemble experience. Arijit Singh’s background score is unique in the sense as it’s so minimal and in synch with every scene that you have to pay special attention to analyse it separately.

Kaushik Ganguly's performance has already earned him accolades and Indraadip says even if he had the luxury of casting anyone else he would have chosen only Kaushik Ganguly: "I reached out to Kaushikda first, before even contacting any producer."
