Madhumita Sarcar
is all set to shoot for a feature film after a year. The actress will start shooting for
Sudip Das’s debut directorial
Kuler Achaar
from February 10. “In between, I have shot for ad commercials and web series, but shooting for a feature film has its own charm. In this pandemic the audience has got used to online content but watching a film at a theatre has its own magic. As an actor too it is more satisfying to act in films than serials or web series,” said the actress.
Talking about the film, Madhumita said, “I play
Mithi Roy
, an outspoken, confident and independent girl who speaks her mind and is ready to face the consequences of doing so. Mithi gets married into the Sen family. Whether she will change her surname to Sen is what this film is all about. The story is very relatable.”
Before the film goes on the floor, Madhumita plans to go on a short vacation. “If I don’t go to the hills for months I feel claustrophobic. I plan to make a short trip to north
Bengal
before the shooting starts,” she said.
Madhumita is also learning Telugu at present. When asked she has any plans to do a Telugu film, she said, “Well, let’s see. It is too early to divulge anything now.”
