Madhumita Sarcar and Rohaan Bhatttacharya have started shooting for their next ‘Jaatishawr’.
Penned by Anuja Chatterjee and being directed by Sani Ghosh Roy, it’s an intense story wrapped in immense drama, mystery and emotions. ‘Jaatishawr’ follows a woman named Roopkotha Basu, who goes to her boyfriend, Aruni Chowdhury’s family home, and starts narrating incidents that happened in that house, kept hidden for many years, which shocks the family in this drama-thriller.
While Madhumita Sarcar plays the protagonist Roopkatha, a free spirited photographer with a love for life, Rohaan Bhattacharya essays the role of Aruni whom she meets through her work. What mysteries have the Chowdhury Family House hidden, and how will they unfold? ‘Jaatishawr’ will start streaming in next year on a popular OTT platform.
Jatiswar means someone who has the supernatural ability to remember things from their previous lives. However, Bengali cine buffs often relate Jatiswar to the film by the same name made by Srijit Mukerji. However, the makers have insisted that this new web series has no similarity with the film. Madhumita has already assured that maybe the theme is the same, but the plot and story is completely different.
Madhumita has been busy with her upcoming Telugu film. On the other hand, her next Bengali film ‘Dilkhush’ is gearing up for its theatrical release as well.
