Lily Chakraborty has postponed all her projects. Here’s why
Lily Chakraborty, who was all set to start work from April, is taking a break from shooting because of the second wave of the pandemic. “I was about to start shooting for Raja Banerjee’s Pantua from April. Paran Bandopadhyay plays my on-screen husband in the film. I shot for a day but after that, I got sick and the shoot got stalled. I’ve told the unit that I won’t shoot for long hours, as my health won't permit that now and the team is okay with it.

But now I have told them to wait for a while as the number of cases is rising each day. It is not advisable for senior citizens like us to shoot now. I was also supposed to start dubbing for Choddobeshi from the end of this month, but I have told the director to wait for a while,” the veteran actress told us.
Lily had tested positive for COVID-19 in January and had to be hospitalised because her health condition had deteriorated. “Of late people were taking the virus very lightly. Most people don’t wear masks, as if the virus is not there anymore. The virus in this second wave is said to be extremely virulent and is affecting people badly. Still I see people not wearing masks in political rallies where there are thousands of people. I urge everyone to wear masks to beat the second wave, as we can’t afford to have a second lockdown like Maharasthra. And those who are eligible to take the vaccine, should willingly go and take it,” she said.
