The second-day shoot of Kavita & Teresa, a

Kamal Musale film

starring Banita Sandhu,

Jacqueline Fritschi-Cornaz

and Deepti Naval, concluded on Sunday evening at

Bidhan Sarani

, Kolkata. It was predominantly a

sequence

featuring Kolkata’s

iconic trams

and several parts of the sequence were shot inside a moving tram.

One of the sources from the production team told CT that they have not faced any problem yet as it was a Sunday. “We are getting all the help from the local authorities, including the police. But this is Christmas time and we have several shoots in central Kolkata, including Sudder Street. We are hopeful that we will be able to conclude our 14-day shooting schedule in Kolkata peacefully,” he added.

The film is directed by Swiss-Indian director Kamal Musale that revolves around Kavita, an Indian woman based in Toronto. Following an unexpected pregnancy and a tussle with her family, she decides to return to her birthplace and seek solace in the arms of her old nanny. This nanny was an orphan and adopted by Mother Teresa. At least 65% of the film was shot before the lockdown.
