Bonny Sengupta and
Koushani Mukherjee are pairing up on screen yet again. This time it’s a suspense thriller being directed by
Prarjun Majumder.
Titled ‘
Antarjaal
’, the film revolves around an eminent writer Lahari whose husband Apurba goes missing on the night of their first marriage anniversary. What follows is an intense search for Apurba and joining the missing clues to reunite the couple.
“Antarjaal is a story of passion, love and affection and at the same time a story of vengeance, revenge and relationships. The story becomes relevant in today’s socio political scenario where many crimes happening indoors especially due to the pandemic and are not accounted for. Moreover, the film throws light on the harsh life of the common man after the pandemic when economical status and interpersonal relations have both been vandalized by the harsh after-effects of the pandemic, shares the director.
While Bonny and
Koushani
will be sharing the screen together as Apurba and Lahari respectively,
Prantik Banerjee and Soumalya Dutta will also be seen in key roles.
Director Prarjun Majumder further added, “This project is very close to my heart. I have done enough research to give Antarjaal a perfect shape and I'm thankful to my brother Mukesh Pandey for his tremendous support thoroughly.”
Koushani is also sharing the screen with Bonny in '
Superman
' but actress Ishani Ghosh will be seen opposite him and Koushani plays a journalist. The real-life couple will also be seen in yet another upcoming thriller, Sumit Sahil directed ‘Morichika’ which will hit the3 shooting floors on April 20.
