Director Jiit Chakraborty’s next film ‘Kothamrito’ sees Kuashik Ganguly and
Aparajita Adhya pairing up in an unconventional love story.
Biswanath Basu and Kanchan Mallick are also playing pivotal roles in the film which has finally locked its release date. If everything goes according to plan, ‘Kothamrito’ will hit the big screens on November 18 this year.
While Kaushik will be seen as Sanatan, Aparajita will play his wife Sulekha.
“An ideal couple of their para, they, together with their son, Rik, are the symbol of a perfect family. They are loved, adored and respected by all. Sanatan cannot speak, but the people close to him have learned to understand him over time and are often assisted by Sanatan’s pocket diary, which he calls Kothamrito. On the other hand, Babun (Biswanath) and Ananya are also an integral part of the para, but their marriage and domestic life are marred by their lack of communication and understanding,” the director had shared earlier while speaking about the film.
Asserting that communication plays an important part in any relationship, Jiit said the film asks a question. “Should we pursue the ‘right way’ to make a relationship work, or is it more important to find ‘our way’? Relationships might be made in heaven, but their success and failure most certainly depend on how we work on them on earth. This film delves into these aspects,” added the young director.
