After standing on the stage of 'Chaturth Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films 2022' and receiving the award, I finally realized that I have indeed bagged the award. It’s an honour that increases the urge for good work. I will continue to try to satisfy the audience,” shared Souvik.

Meanwhile, Souvik is all set to direct a Hindi film as well. The film which has Kolkata actor Anindya Banerjee in a key role will see a host of popular Bollywood actors including including Raveena Tandon, Rahul Dev, Sayaji shindey, Papiya Adhikari, Ramesh Goyal, Manjuri Mishra, Amit Shetty in other important characters. On the other hand, the 24-year-old young director is also making a Bengali film titled 'Barfi'.
