Arindam Sil. The first-look of her character is already out and has received appreciations from all corners.
In the upcoming detective thriller she plays a woman who is as great at decoding the mystery as making new, delicious dishes. Koel's look also personifies she is a force to reckon with.
The iconic female detective character Mitin Mashi has an aura of her own as she is a representative of women empowerment, so the body language has to match accordingly and Koel seems to be the ideal match.
"My character in the film is an example of woman empowerment. To me, Mitin Mashi is a story of wish fulfillment," says Koel. Among the others,
Subhrajit Dutta will be seen as Koel's husband Partha while Riya Banik will play Koel's niece Tuya in this detective thriller.
Arindam plans to start the shoot mid-July and it will be shot in and around Kolkata. He has chosen the story titled 'Haate Matro Teen Din' by
Suchitra Bhattacharya
for the first movie on Mitin Mashi. Camelia Production is bankrolling the venture and eyeing a Puja release for the film.
