Koel Mallick on playing a journalist in ‘Flyover’: My character is determined, brave and headstrong

’ will have its theatrical release on April 2 and Koel plays a headstrong journalist in the thriller.

‘Flyover’ is the story of Bidisha, a journalist who is working on a story on traffic rule violations. One night, she gets arrested for murder and from there on a gripping tale of investigation begins with loads of twists and turns.

The official trailer of the film is already out and it has made everyone excited. Koel, too, is overwhelmed to see the response the trailer has received. “The feedback is great, and that speaks a lot about people’s curiosity surrounding the film. I play Bidisha, a journalist. She is writing an article and the film’s plot involves a few accidents that are happening on a flyover. Bidisha’s article is on traffic rule violations on a flyover. She gets drawn into an investigation. My character is very determined, brave, headstrong. People try to hush her up so that she doesn’t write the article but she goes against all odds to do it,” Koel shares with ETimes during an exclusive chat.

Besides Koel Mallick, the cast also includes Gaurav Chakrabarty, Ravi Shaw, Koushik Roy and Shnatilala Mukherjee among others in pivotal roles. While the music has been composed by Anupam Roy, Souvik Basu is the DOP of this film, an official remake of the film ‘U-Turn’.
