Chatterjee is all set to star in another
Kaushik Ganguly directorial, ‘Kishore Kumar Junior’. The film is currently in its post-production stage, and with promotional campaigns yet to start, it looks like the renowned director has his own strategy to draw in the audience. He recently posted a hilarious caricature of
Kishore Kumar with a caption, “Singh Nei Tobu Naam Tar Singha”, from the legendary singer’s Bengali hit song from 'Lukochuri'.
This upcoming musical drama narrates the story of a ‘
Kishore Kanthi
’ (one who sings and performs popular hits of Kishore Kumar) named Goutam Ghosh (played by Prosenjit). While Aparajita Adhya essays Prosenjit's on-screen wife, popular actors Rajesh Sharma, Lama and
Masood Akhtar star in other pivotal roles.
The Kaushik Ganguly directorial is scheduled to hit the big screen during Durga Puja this year. Though the exact date hasn’t been revealed yet, the film will reportedly clash with Srijit's ‘
Ek Je Chilo Raja
’ and other big-ticket movies as well.
Rumour has it Kaushik is planning to make another film with Prosenjit. If all goes according to plan, the shoot will reportedly start next year.
