Kharaj Mukherjee is busy shooting for
Victor Mukherjee’s Hindi film Lakkar Bhagga. “We are shooting in Kolkata now. Next week, I have a shoot with Javed Jaffrey, who plays an important character in this film and I am looking forward to it,” said the actor.
Talking about his character in this film, Kharaj shared, “I play a storekeeper of a bookstore in this film. My nephew (played by Anshuman) stays with me.
How this storekeeper’s life changes is what the film is all about.”
Kharaj also travelled to Rampurhat in Birbhum district recently to be part of a macha show. “I am happy that macha shows are back in form after a hiatus. For the past 19 years, I have been doing macha shows. Now, COVID is something one has to live with. I am happy that the audience has accepted that and are coming back to watch the shows. Performing in front of a live audience has its own charm,” said Kharaj who just completed shooting for Haami 2, where he plays the character of an event organiser.
“I have also completed shooting for Ravaan, where I play a college professor. In Paka Dekha, I essay Soham’s father. So, I am happy that I am getting to act in different kinds of roles. I will start shooting for Suvendu Das’s Save The Mothers soon,” informed the actor.
