Kaushiki makes acting debut

On Friday, Kaushiki Desikan made her ���������acting debut��������� in Rituparno Ghosh���������s ���������Chitrangada: The Crowning Wish���������. Says Kaushiki, who has also sung in the film, ���������Rituparno Ghosh had wanted me to play Ashalata.He had called up Baba, who was then in Holland, to seek permission. While shooting on Friday, he told me how Baba had said that he would never agree to me doing a Rituparno Ghosh film simply because Baba felt that Rituda would get me to do such good work that I would get smitten by the acting bug. Though I���������ve shot for the movie, I���������m not considering any career in acting.��������� While shooting for the film, Kaushiki sang ���������Jodi kon alo���������. ���������Rituda wanted my presence in the film. I���������ve always looked up to him and this is an honour for me,��������� she signs off.
