Kaushik Kar wraps up his debut Hindi murder mystery

Director

Kaushik Kar

has just wrapped up his first Hindi directorial

Chhipkali

. The film stars Yashpal Sharma, Yogesh Bhradwaj and

Tannistha Biswas

, who made her acting debut in Hiralal. Talking about the film, the director said, “Beyond our materialistic vision there lies an unexplored group of entities who coexists with us in the same time dimension, but they surpass our conscious mind. Based on this context, our story revolves around an interrogative conversation between a writer, Aloke Chaturvedi, and a private detective, Rudraksh Roy, regarding the reopened murder case of Aloke's wife and son, though he is being already found not guilty by the

High Court

. In this entire story, Aloke looks at things from a philosophical point of view. Rudraksh, on the other hand, is quite inquisitive and never stops to amuse Aloke with his counter questions from a materialistic point of view, only which the conscious mind abides by. Once he realises that Aloke has a spiritual mind and might be using his philosophies as a weapon in order to play safe in this blame game, Rudraksh starts playing mind games with Aloke. He deliberately tries to penetrate Aloke's belief system, that there exists a parallel dimension of time. Eventually, at a height of excitement, Aloke splits out some deep dark secrets of his life. And the story takes a turn from there.”
Yashpal Sharma who plays Aloke Chaturvedi in this film is a brahmin and a writer by passion but is professionally unsuccessful. “Chhipkali will be a very special and memorable film for me. The clarity and convincing power of the director was very strong, which I liked. My character has many dimensions and layers. After the second wave of corona, I was completely devastated and started thinking that films were not worthy anymore. Fortunately, this film helped me overcome that feeling,” said Yashpal.
