For actress Moubani Sorcar, the beautiful land of Kashmir is honestly the crown of India. “I have had the good fortune of travelling allover the world with my father magician P.C.Sorcar Junior and mother Joysri Sorcar alongside my two sisters Maneka, Mumtaz. After travelling all over the world I felt India is the most beautiful country in the whole wide world and I can vouch that Kashmir is truly the crown of India if not the most beautiful place in India and one of the best places I have ever seen,” said the actress. Moubani added, “I was the guest of the BSF( Border Security Force) Kashmir and travelled there for the Half Marathon at Wullar Lake 2024 organised by BSF and ( IHRO ) International Human Rights Organisation. Many were apprehensive of me travelling all alone to Kashmir during Diwali. But my family was supportive as because I guess they have always been in charge of creating magic all round the world.”
To Moubani seeing the coniferous trees in Kashmir just about to change colours from green to yellow seemed like they were used to create their own magic. “This Diwali was the best Diwalis of my life. There was magic in the air, much more beautiful than Venice, I felt Kashmir was like paradise on earth as popularly known. The stillness of the silent waters on the lakes made me rejuvenate in seconds.I could feel months of stress and strain being washed away. Kashmir is just beautiful.”
