Calcutta Times had earlier reported that
Kanchan Mullick was really missing his seven-year son Osho and wife Pinky Banerjee during the lockdown. He hadn’t seen them for nearly three months now, as Pinky was stuck at her parents’ place with Osho. “I was away shooting in Birbhum, so Pinky had gone over to her parents’ place. I had just returned to the city when the lockdown happened.
Pinky didn’t get time to return. So, we are meeting each other today after nearly three months,” Kanchan told us on Tuesday.
Pinky, also an actress, told us that both Kanchan and she are out for hours on work every day. “So, I mostly stay with my parents so that they can take care of Osho in our absence. Kanchan’s parents are aged and not in the best of health, so they can’t do that regularly. We often meet only on weekends. But this time, the lockdown kept us apart for a very long time. We didn’t want to break the norms and take any risk,” she said, adding, “Osho and Kanchan are on cloud nine. They hugged for at least seven minutes! They played the whole day.”
When asked what’s on the menu today, she said, “I always believe in living a minimalistic life and this lockdown has ingrained that feeling in me. Lunch is simple — daler bora, dal with vegetables and rice with a little bit of haldi in it, as it acts as an anti-oxidant and gives a pulao-like feel,” said Pinky.
