Joy Sengupta in debutant filmmaker’s suspense thriller

Among all the genres of contemporary cinema, ‘thriller’ is probably the most difficult movie category to define and yet the most trending one these days. Many young filmmakers try their luck in making goosebumps-worthy thrillers. Well, debutant director Souvik Dey is no exception also.
The young filmmaker is all set for his first directorial venture ’60 Er Por’.The suspense thriller has an ensemble cast including powerful actors like Joy Sengupta, Anindya Banerjee, along with Amyth Sethi, Rupanjana Mitra, Punya Darshan and others in pivotal roles.

The plot revolves around a murder mystery with loads of twists and turns that expose the corrupt system we are live in. The young director promises ’60 Er Por’ will be suspenseful, gripping and totally terrifying as the story is quite relatable.
Is your mind playing tricks? Or is something evil going on? Thrillers these days feature unseen dangers, untrustworthy characters and some unsettling suspense. And, that’s what Souvik is trying to incorporate in his first feature film’s twisted plot.
If all goes according to plan, the thriller will go on the floors soon following all the COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines.
