Jisshu to star in Pratim’s modern-day love story

Pratim D Gupta is all set to direct a love saga titled Love Aaj Kal Porshu. Unlike other love stories, the film that the director dubs “unique”, delves into sublime tales of two people where ‘love’ is seen as an instinct that can never change no matter how much our surroundings alter. Jisshu U Sengupta essays the male lead in the film whereas the female lead is yet to be decided upon.

The film is scheduled to go on the floors from early September. Pratim, on his part, said, “Love Aaj Kaal Porshu is a thrilling ride and explores the many facets of a modern-day love story. The story unfolds in a world that looks vaguely familiar but a closer look reveals a different picture. It’s not a mundane love story, but an intriguing look at the changing dynamics of man-woman relationships against a riveting backdrop. It springs up twists and turns in every corner. I have wanted to work with Jisshu for a long time and I am happy that we are finally collaborating.”
Subhankar Bhar has been roped in as the DoP and the album is being created
by the team of Arindom Chatterjee and Prosen.
