’. In this period drama he plays Gangadhar Rao, the husband of the queen of Jhansi Laxmibai. He is also set for his Telugu debut with NTR biopic.

Even after delivering back to back hits, Jisshu doesn't even bother about the length of his characters. "I always believe in giving in 200% effort be it in a Bengali, Hindi or Telugu film," the ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’ actor said.

The versatile actor also heaps praise on his co-star and director Kangana. "As a director, she is well aware of what she wants. So when Kangana took over the directorial responsibility there was no problem with adjustment. Often we would do some parody to have fun on the set," he added.

Coming back to his Bengali releases this year, Jisshu will be seen in a wide range of characters. While in Mainak’s ‘Bornoporichoy’ he essays a shady character, in Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s ‘Mukhomukhi’ he will share screen opposite Darshana Banik as a dysfunctional couple, whereas in Aparna Sen’s ‘Ghawre Bairey Aaj’ Jisshu plays the character of Sandip which was portrayed by Soumitra Chatterjee in Satyajit Ray’s 1984 film ‘Ghawre Bairey’.
