Jaya Ahsan set to star in her first Hindi film

Jaya Ahsan is set to star in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s yet-untitled Hindi film, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjana Sanghi, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Dilip Shankar, Paresh Pahuja and Varun Buddhadev. The film which began filming today, is being shot in Mumbai and Kolkata. It is an investigative drama with a heart-warming story, centred around the coming together of a dysfunctional family. The story of the film has been jointly written by Viraf Sarkari, Ritesh Shah and Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
“I am happy to do this film, it has a story layered with intrigue which reveals itself over time. How faced with odds, people come together to form a strong unit,” shared Aniruddha.
Jaya, who's making her Hindi debut with the film, said, “This is my first film in Hindi and my character is an integral part of the movie. When this offer came to me, I was thrilled and said yes immediately because Aniruddha is the director, and I have Pankaj Tripathi as one of my co-actors. I have always wanted to work with them and the fact that it’s my first Hindi film doubles the delight. I am excited for the shoot to begin."
Leading lady Sanjana Sanghi shared, “It’s that rare moment every artiste craves for, to hear a story that you resonate and connect with so deeply and instantly, and one that reminds you why you became an actor in the first place. I can’t wait to bring our pure yet complex tale to our audiences.”
Parvathy Thiruvothu also shared her feelings about the project, “It’s a massive opportunity for me to dismantle and unlearn because I’ll be working with Tony sir. That’s always an amazing and scary process so you need people you can do a sort of trust fall while you create a character so perceptive. That’s the best part for me about joining the team!”
