It’s a new feather in
Jaya Ahsan’s crown. The versatile actress is playing one of the leads in acclaimed Iranian director Morteza Atashzamzam's upcoming film ‘Fereshte’. She was shooting for the film in Dhaka for the last 20 days. The Bangladeshi-Iranian joint venture has already created quite a lot of buzz.
"While working on this film I realized that cinema has no language.
Director Morteza Atashzamzam only understands his native language. Still, we had no problems, no difficulties while shooting with the unit," an excited Jaya Ahsan shared.
The ‘Bijoya’ actress further added, "It’s a new experience for me. My character is a struggling woman. We all come across such women every day. We shot in different locations. Interestingly, the moment I put my make-up on for the character nobody could recognise me. It was quite thrilling."
Earlier Morteza Atashzamzam had shared that the plot revolves around a rickshaw puller and his daily struggles. He also claimed that this film will be memorable for everyone in Bangladesh.
‘Fereshte’ will be released in Bangladesh in Bengali and will additionally release in Iran with subtitles. The film also stars several other Bangladeshi actors including Bairam Fazli, Mokhtari, Mobarekh, Atiya Pirali, and Kavas in key roles.
The versatile actress will next be seen in
Suman Mukhopadhyay’s next film ‘Putul Naacher Itikotha’. She is also sharing the screen with Bratya Basu in Sayantan Mukherjee’s ‘Jhora Palok’ which revolves around the chaos and turmoil between Jibananda Das's creative and domestic life. The film is being screened at the ongoing Kolkata International Film Festival.
