At a time when the entire country is standing by
ISRO and social media is flooded with posts congratulating the scientists for its Chandrayaan-2 mission,
Riddhi Sen has also voiced his support. The Tollywood actor said that he hasn’t lost hope yet as no one knows for sure what the present situation and condition of Chandrayaan-2 is. He thinks it is highly possible that the space shuttle might re-establish contact with the ground centre.
“Last night, I was very tired and went to bed around 1.30 am.
Till then I remained glued to my television set to get all the live updates. The sad news about Vikram losing contact came much later. So, I went to sleep with an immense sense of pride, hoping to wake up to the big news all over. But in the morning, when I read the papers, I was a little disappointed,” he said.
However, Riddhi soon overcame that feeling and realised that taking the entire project to this level was an achievement in itself. “Thousands of things can go wrong between constructing a rocket and making it safely land on the moon. So, I am not ready to accept this as our failure. I believe it’s another step towards our nation’s success. I want to congratulate ISRO for this great mission,” the actor added.
Riddhi also spoke highly of the brilliant scientists as they are the ones who burnt the midnight oil for years to make the project a success. “The scientists are the ones who have spent years on the project. I’m sure they will be able to connect with the lander that has now been traced,” he signed off.
