’ is deeply inspired by Aamir Aziz’s poetry Sab Yaad Rakha Jayega. The director recently wrapped up the shooting part of the film which promises to touch down on several socio-political issues in our current society.

“This is perhaps the first film from Bengal that touches down the subject of Citizenship Amendment Act. It’s a love story between a Muslim woman professor and a Hindu student. The backdrop is student unrest. It stars Richa Sharma, Bonny Sengupta, Sudiptaa Chakraborty, Kamaleswar Mukherjee,

and Ranieeta Dash in the lead. I will start the shoot from September end,” revealed the filmmaker.

With more than a decade-long experience in media, Raajhorshee De prefers to narrate the stories of women and celebrate womanhood onscreen.

“There are many films in Bollywood celebrating women, but there’s not even a handful we see in Tollywood. I have always seen women as heroes of my films and have developed scripts keeping them in mind,” during a recent chat with ETimes said the young director who made his directorial debut last year with ‘Purba Paschim Dakshin Uttor Ashbei’.

But this wasn’t his second film, the first being ‘Birpurush’. With two more films ‘Shubho Naboborsho’ and ‘Rifle’ ready for release De has already started shooting for his first short film in Hindi ‘A Separate Sky’.
