It’s a working birthday for Anindya Chatterjee

Anindya Chatterjee, who turned a year younger today, is having a working birthday. “Last night around 11.45 pm, Mimi (Chakraborty) dropped in with a cake and gifts to surprise me. This has become an annual ritual of sorts for her. We enjoyed our adda session till 1 in the morning. We lost count of how many cups of coffee we sipped on in that one hour,” said the actor with a smile.

On the work front, Anindya is playing a negative character in the mega serial Gant Chara and he is quite happy about it. “This morning I went out for my cycle ride as usual and then reported on the shooting floors sharp at 9 am. The cast and crew organised a cake for me, and I feel blessed to get so much love from everyone. Birthday lunch will be at the shooting set but at night my friends will come over for biryani and chaap as that’s my favourite food,” said Anindya, adding, “An actor always wants to face the camera as that is his oxygen. I am really happy being a part of a mega serial after all these years. And getting a chance to play a negative role is like icing on the cake. A negative character allows an actor to explore his/her acting capabilities to the fullest.”
