Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury turns a year younger. The National-Award winning director, who is in Mumbai currently, spent his birthday with family. His friend,
Shantanu Moitra and his wife Sarada, paid a visit to his residence for lunch.
Talking about his age, Aniruddha joked, “Amar ekhon reverse aging cholche.” On his birthday plan, the director revealed that they had a scrumptious lunch to celebrate the occasion.
“My wife, Indrani, cooked. We had Mutton rezala, hinger kochuri, fish fry, et al. Oh, and Indrani surprised us with lovely homemade mango ice cream,” he said.
Aniruddha is currently honing his culinary skills during the lockdown and to encourage his endeavour, Shantanu gifted him a fancy chef knife. “This is going to be very useful now on,” said the director. “Also, I absolutely gorged on Sarada’s homemade bread loaf with olive,” he said.
On his plans to visit Kolkata, Aniruddha said, “I thought of travelling in August. But given the situation, I postponed. I will soon be going, but not immediately. It is imperative that we all stay safe at the moment.”
