Is Rhea Chakraborty making her Tollywood debut?

If everything goes according to plan Rhea Chakraborty who was last seen in the thriller Chehre co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan might soon make her Bengali debut. According to the latest reports, the talks are only in the initial stages.
Last week, on Rhea’s birthday, a well-known producer from Kolkata, Rana Sarkar, wished her a happy birthday on social media and also offered her a role. Taking to her Twitter handle, the producer requested the actress to come to Kolkata and join the Tollywood brigade.
Speaking to a media outlet Rana Sarkar shared that it was not only a social media birthday wish as they have already reached out to Rhea’s manager with a script. The producer has revealed that it is a story of betrayal. Since Rhea speaks Bengali quite they decided to cast the actress and he has already seen her performance. The story reportedly revolves around two female leads and the role Rhea has been offered is of an actress in Mumbai.
The producer has also told the entertainment portal that Rhea’s career is getting damaged because of constant criticism. He feels the actress is not getting good offers in Mumbai and she is facing all the hatred for being someone’s girlfriend and also for being a Bengali. Since actor Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic death his girlfriend Rhea has faced a lot of trouble in her personal life.

Meanwhile, Rana Sarkar is currently producing a handful of Bengali films including Srijato’s directorial debut ‘Manabjamin’, Randeep Ghosh’s ‘Bonbibi’ and Srijit Mukherji’s film on Chaitanya Dev and Rajul Banerjee’s ‘Kolkata 96’ to name a few.
